• Cadmus Cup football

  Millfield will be hosting the Cadmus cup football tournament next week on Monday and Wednesday on our new pitch.   This is the first test for our girls in a year that should see them playing in Spain come July.   Good luck to the new boys team next week who won their first game in the league last week.

• Walking day

  Long walk with shelter building at the end.  Archery activities abt various places along the way.

  Must have got dirty as they all want to shower.  

  

• First night

  Children settled down by 11.30!  

  One complaint of boys snoring!!    Mr B not impressed with this at 4.00 in Morning.  

  Not bad for staff to get 5 hrs sleep on first night!

• Night walk completed

  A long walk in the dark now completed with tired legs and some muddy feet.  Hot chocolate and cake before wash and bed.

  

• Year 4 first afternoon walk

  Walked to find shelters in the woods and lots of tree climbing.  Finished off with dancing in Amplitheatre.

  

• Sports week

  Sports week came to a fantastic finish today with some outstanding races in the junior sports.

  The top 20 sprinters in the school competed in 1/4 finals semi finals and a great final which resulted in a school record of 5.5 seconds for the 30m sprint for Paris. 

  The standard this year was very high with all class races within meters for all those competing.  

   

  

• Wet Thursday on camp

  I couldn't be more proud of Millfield Year 3   Today. 

  It has to have been the wettest day on camp we have ever had.   

  AT no point did their heads  go down. They totally ignored the rain and have had a great time.  

  They completed an 8 km walk this afternoon with the children taking it in turns to navigate.  To date we have had no falling out and everyone has helped each other.

• Early morning start for staff on camp

  Staff on camp are overjoyed that year 3 children can be so wide awake and ready to brush their teeth at 5 o'clock in the morning. 

  Envious of Mr Stacey who can sleep through. 

• First night on y3 camp

  Full bellies lead to a good night sleep.
