At Millfield we believe that reading is the single greatest joy that you can have and so texts feature heavily in everything that we do.

We endeavour to read with children as often as we can, whether this is hearing a child read, shared class reading, books used in literacy, the class story at the end of every day or even a trip down to our new library.

At Millfield, we don’t teach children how to read, we create readers.
