After reading the story Alice in Wonderland we had a go at making our own little Wonderland in the Home Corner. We enjoyed Tea Parties, reading stories, mark making and just sitting having a chat with our friends in our special colourful space! 🌈 🌲 📚 🍰

Today we made playdough cakes using flour and liquid soap. We followed the instruction carefully to help us. It was a lot of goey, sticky, messy fun! 🎂
Sensory Light Box - Exploring the colours and texture of different gems, sticks, shapes and blocks on our light box. 💡
We visited the elderly residents at Homestead Care home today. We had a lovely afternoon joining in with the activities set out. We finished our visit with a delicious cake baked by the staff and a glass of squash, ✍️ 🍰 📚
The Gingerbread Man - We used different shapes to make our own fox, like the one in our story that eats the Gingerbread Man 🦊
Today we got to taste a Gingerbread Man. We all really enjoyed them!
We explored different colours and how they change when mixed together. We really enjoyed this activity. 🎨
Gingerbread man - mark making ✍️
We baked cakes in nursery today to celebrate Harper’s birthday! 🎂 🎈
We used shiny stones, wobbly eyes, playdough and a ginger bread man shape to make our own Gingerbread Man in the playdough!
Gingerbread man number recognition - mark making - number formation - We used a paint brush in our Gingerbread sand to have a go at writing our numbers! 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣5️⃣6️⃣7️⃣8️⃣9️⃣
We counted out the buttons and wobbly eyes to make our own Gingerbread Man, glueing them into place. We finished our men off by decorating them, using the Gingerbread Man from our story as a guide!
We have been reading the story The Gingerbread Man - Today we had a go at some threading. We used our needle, threaded with wool. Carefully we threaded our needle in and out of the holes around the edge of our Gingerbread Man!
Today we took home the Beanstalks we had grown in nursery. Only after a few weeks they’d grown so tall, just like the Beanstalk in our story Jack and the Beanstalk!
