Nursery

Thank you to all parents who attended the Read Write Inc. workshops on 25th January. I hope you found the information useful to help support learning at home. If you could not attend the meeting, you can collect flashcards and workbooks from myself in Nurserysmiley.

For children eligible for full time hours, the Nursery day will start at 8:45-3:15 and a packed lunch will need to be provided. Children who are part time in Nursery will do a morning session starting at 8:45 and ending at 11:30am. Please message on Class Dojo if you have any questions blush.

The Nursery Curriculum

Our aim is to provide a secure, happy environment in which children can build meaningful relationships through a broad and balanced curriculum enabling children to develop knowledge, and a life long love of learning.

Young children learn from everything around them: the people, the environment, the atmosphere the routine and experiences all of these make up "the nursery curriculum".

The children are encouraged to be confident, independent learners. During each session the children will participate in "free flow" - enabling them to move freely between nursery, reception class and the outdoors. This valuable time enables all children to develop relationships with all Early Years children and staff.

All children participate in a Woodland Wednesday session, Mrs Brandrick and Mrs Beard run this. It takes place in our fabulous woodland area, please have a look at the page below, to see what they get up to.
