Transition to Reception and Year 7 in September 2021

School Nursing Services are running workshops for parents and carers of children who are transitioning to reception year or secondary school in September 2021.

These workshop will provide hints and tips for parents and carers to help them to support their child to prepare and settle into their new school. There will be a focus on health and wellbeing during transition.

These workshops will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and places are free and can be booked using the links below for Eventbrite.

Children in year 6 or above can contact a School Nurse on this number and ask for advice about any physical or mental health problems. They can text us anonymously and their text will be answered between 9-5 Monday through to Friday. This is a safe service offered by the NHS.

Parents/carers can contact a School Nurse if they are concerned about their child. We can offer advice about any physical or mental health problem. Your text will be answered between 9-5 Monday through to Friday. This is a safe service offered by the NHS.

If you would prefer to talk to or email a School Nurse rather than text, then you can contact us between 9-5pm Monday through to Friday.

 

We have 2 websites which have lots of useful information about physical and mental health. www.healthforkids.co.uk is designed by children for children and has lots of games and activities. www.healthforteen.co.uk is designed by young people for young people and has lots of articles and blogs. Both websites are free to use and designed by the NHS so have safe and reliable information.
