October 2019
Week beginning 21st October
As we reached the end of the first half of the Autumn term, we reminisced about all the wonderful things we have achieved so far together. Some children completed scary Halloween writing with Mr Stacey and all children made toffee apples and Oreo spider cookies/digestive Vampire teeth! Pictures to follow...
Hope you all have a wonderful week off!
Week beginning 14th October
Year 4 children had a wonderful time camping at Beaudesert this week. We had the opportunity to do a range of activities including a funghi hunt, fire-starting and creating our own nature bracelets. All members of staff praised the children for their mature, sensible behaviour during camp which made it a pleasure for everyone who was there! Well done Year 4!
Week beginning 7th October
All children took part in the Harvest festival this week at St James' Church. This included prayers, activity stories and action songs! Thank you for all the generous donations which will go to the food bank at The Lamp in Brownhills. We also enjoyed learning all about sound this week in Science and experimenting with tuning forks and making a telephone out of cups and string!
Children going to camp next week have chosen their group tent names and are looking forward to our two night trip full of activities. We are due to arrive back at school on Wednesday. Children can be collected at the normal time of 3:15.
