Year Three Residential Camp

We had a wonderful time on camp.
We spent two nights under canvas in the middle of the woods and three days undertaking lots of different outdoor activities.

We found lots of different fungi and discussed their role in the natural world. We had stories around the campfire every night. We made woodland art. We hunted for bottles in the dark and had to calculate our scores. We kept “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” style diaries (Diary of a Camping Kid). We went for a night walk around Castle Ring and discovered our natural night vision. We even managed to do some computing without computers! (SandwichBot was in attendance on camp.)

Visit to Lichfield Cathedral

We had a great time at Lichfield Cathedral with Mrs Hare. We talked about our recent RE lessons about Christian places of worship and spotted a lot of the features we had learned about. We also found out a some information about Dr. Samuel Johnson and saw an early version of his dictionary (about whom we may find out more later in the year). We all agreed that it is a very interesting place.
