  • Year 2 Overnight stay

    The Year 2 sleepover went ahead without incident and the children had a great time camping out in the hall. For many of them, this was the first time away from the family home.  Well done all.

  • Camp cooked food

    Mrs Anderson’s work with the children paid off.  What a fantastic camp meal. Cheesy mash. Roast potatoes beans and coleslaw followed by apple crumble from the apples I picked at home on Sunday. 

    I am so full and most of the children are who had seconds and thirds. 

    Diet starts tomorrow. 

  • Wednesday afternoon at year5 camp

    After making their own lunch the children headed out to do team work tasks. Shelter building fence building and night lines before heading back for camp cooking. Peeling spuds and apples for tea. Weather conditions have got worse with wet fog but children still smiling. 
  • Wednesday morning on camp

    Agood cooked breakfast on the charcoal stoves and then a visit to the gardens on site and a walk around the woods before making their own lunch. Afternoons activities are den making , learning to build fencing in the wild and team work using the ropes.

    Children now doing a night bottle hunt after a filling tea. 

  • Year five walk completed

    Wel done to year  five group one who have broke the year five distance record by walking 17km from castle ring to Millfird Common. 

    All 14 children were superb. No moaning at all. 

    They should sleep well tonight. 

  • Half way point

    Lunch at half way point at visitor centre. 8km done. 7.5 to do. 

    Interesting that our year 5s are doing the same route as silver duke of E award sixth formers.

  • First night of Year 5 camp

    Children settled down at about 9.30 to 10.00. Staff managed to retire at about 12.00. Apart from girls waking Mr Brazier at 3.00 and 3.30 and 4.00 to ask to go to toilet it was a quiet night with a lie in till 7.00!!
