  One group had advanced mountain biking while the others learnt the bottle game which involves running and maths

  

• Lunch day 2

  All children made their own lunch and then washed and dried up in their eating groups.  

  

• Year 5 activities

  All the children did a basic introduction to mountain bikes,  did a forage hunt to recognise fungi with an emphasis on how dangerous they can be if eaten and did some art work on watercolour painting of trees

  

• Morning activity

  Basic first aid on hills. 

  What to carry to keep yourself and others safe with h an emphasis on keeping warm in winter weather 

  Children tried out emergency shelters and bags, looked at the uses of basic first aid kit, learnt how to signal for emergency help and briefly looked at resuscitation.

• Year 5 first breakfast

  Bacon on an open fire and cereal in the open air. All children up dressed and warm but not so clean!  

  

• Early morning start

  first children awake at  5 so early start for staff. At least it was way to get fire re started as embers still warm!!

• Good night

  children settled well. No noise since two children got up for toilet at 10.00. So staff having early night at 12,00. Hopefully children will have a lie in until 7,00
