Timetable

Here is our standard timetable.  This will be updated if any significant changes happen - any temporary changes will be notified to adults via Class Dojo.

Useful Info

Monday homework is set (one piece of maths, one reading exercise and a set of SPAG questions).

Tuesday afternoon is when our swimming sessions take place, so children should bring their swimming kit.

Thursday morning homework is looked at and discussed so it must be completed and in school.

Friday afternoon is when our PE lessons take place, so children should wear their full, smart PE kit.  Also, for those children who have music lessons, these will continue to take place on Friday mornings.

Year 6 Reading

At Millfield we believe that reading is the single greatest joy that you can have and so texts feature heavily in everything that we do.

Children are encouraged to read every night and change their books every day. We endeavour to read with children as often as we can, whether this is hearing a child read, shared class reading, books used in literacy, the class story at the end of every day or even a trip down to our library.

At Millfield, we don't teach children how to read, we create readers.
