Year 6 day 1. Carding Mill Valley
Mon 26 Apr 2021First group of y6 are on a photography day today. We are the first educational group since September to visit. Children will be introduced to their Nikon D200 SLR cameras taking landscape photos.

Local history walk with year 3
Thu 22 Apr 2021Today year 3 are walking the local area for History and Geography. For history we are looking for evidence of the old transport networks of rail and canals.
For geography we are looking at man made and natural rocks and stone. -
Year 3 in the national forest
Tue 20 Apr 2021Year 3 are taking their turn this week in the National Forest. They have been identifying trees, looking at birds and exploring science in nature. Half the class today with the second half coming tomorrow.

Week 3 after lockdown year 5. River trip
Wed 31 Mar 2021On Tuesday and Wednesday year 5 have travelled to the Peak District to investigate the river dove.
Best weather of the year, a look at river features and a look at limestone and fossils. -
Year 4 tree work

Year 4 late back
Wed 24 Mar 2021Apologies to year 4 parents for getting back late from trip. The foresters commission closed the planned footpath back for logging. Really annoying where we new the section was only about 700 m long but there was no way we could risk ignoring the sign that said Stop Danger of death!!! This put a massive diversion onto the route. -
Wednesday is year 4 hiking over Cannock chase
Wed 24 Mar 2021The hike today starts at the bottom of KitBag Hill and climbing up to the old airport then down to Birches Valley and back. A short 8 km introduction walk.
