Look what we've been up to January 2020

We have been exploring the sounds of different musical instruments, today we made our own! 🎶

Fine motor activity ✏️

After reading The Enourmous Turnip story we thought it would be nice to explore the texture and taste of a turnip for ourselves. Some children loved it, some children weren’t so keen 😁

The Three Little Pigs- mark making ✏️

Long & short- We were testing out our cutting skills today cutting up a selection of different materials such as straws, ribbon and wool. We cut long pieces and short pieces, we then glued them onto our paper to make a stripy, long and short picture to take home!

After reading the story The Three Little Pigs we used our imagination to build our own houses using a variety of different materials! 🏠 🐷

Making music- we have been exploring the sounds of different musical instrument. We have been playing them loud then quiet, fast then slow! We have been trying to count a beat of 1 then 2. Learning not only that objects can be counted but Musical beats too 🎶 .

Number recognition - matching numerals & quantity. 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣5️⃣

We have been reading the story The Three Little Pigs. We have had a go at making our own three pigs. We counted out the shapes we needed, 3 circles, 3 snouts, 6 ears. We also had a go at writing the numbers under our pigs. 1,2 and 3. 🐷 🐷 🐷

We baked cakes in nursery to celebrate Max and Brodie’s birthdays! 🎂 🎈

We have been counting and collecting stones in the water putting them into our different containers! How many do you have? Do you have lots or a few? Who has got more?
