Look what we have been up to June 2018

After a very warm and sticky morning we decided to find a cool breezy spot on the field to do some yoga stretches. Followed by a tip-top to help cool us down! 🌳 🧘‍♂️

We baked cakes to celebrate Mylee’s birthday! We all then sang Happy Birthday to her. 🍰 🎈

Making “lemon and lime soup”. It smelt “so nice, like pop”🍜 🍋

We have been swimming for a little while now and the children are getting more and more confident each week! Here’s a few more photos for you to see how we’ve been getting on.. 🏊‍♂️

We have been exploring different herbs, Rosemary, fennel, parsley, mint, lavender, thyme, and chives. We talked about the different smells, how they looked and what they were usually used for. We used a pestle and mortar to make our own “potions” using the different herbs cut from our garden. 🌿

After reading our story The Tiger Who Came To Tea, we got talking about the different patterns on animals. We decided to make our own animal prints. We did this by using scrapers in paint to make a pattern, followed by gently placing paper on top. We then peeled our paper back to reveal our own unique pattern. 🐅 🦓

Anyone for a cup of tea!? ☕️

We read the story The Tiger Who Came To Tea. Some children decided to draw pictures of stripey Tigers and some children made masks!

Getting creative! One of the children’s favourite things to do is to make different masks.

We baked cakes to celebrate Harmonie’s birthday 🎂 🎁

We celebrated Scarlett’s birthday by baking delicious cakes to eat. 🍰 🎈
